Notes to the Accounts for the twelve months ended 28 February 2000

1 Accounting policies

These accounts have been prepared under the historic cost convention and in accordance with applicable accounting standards and the Statement of Recommended Practice on Accounting by Charities.

2 Donations and grants

A number of supporters and agencies made donations and grants during the year. Of the total £8,106 (£23,803 in 1999), £2,500 was restricted by donors for use on the Outreach Service (£8,800 in 1999 was restricted to operating the Christmas Roof).

3 Analysis of net assets by funds

All of the charity’s funds in the years ended 28 February 1999 and 2000 are represented by unrestricted funds. Those monies received specifically for the Christmas Roof were applied for that purpose.

The charity has no fixed assets, consequently the total of its retained funds is represented by current assets.

4 Staff and trustees' remuneration

No staff were employed by the charity during the period. No trustee received any remuneration or reimbursement for expenses.
